It is never enough to just name your band.  Becoming a business is the first important step that will save a lot of headaches and will be used for every aspect of your music career.

When registering your band as a business you will need to determine if your band is a partnership, sole proprietorship or to be incorporated.

Word of advice; make sure no one else is using your band name first before applying for a business license.  Then protect your band name so that no one else can use it.
